Our goal at Flossy Brows is to ensure that you receive the best results from your Microblading treatment. To achieve the best results, your skin must be healthy, strong, and non-irritated.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup, also known as micropigmentation or Microblading, is a method of inserting small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance facial features such as eyebrows. It helps to replenish what time has taken away, gives back precious time you normally spend “putting on your face”. It is also helpful to those who are allergic to conventional cosmetics, those with visual impairment, watery eyes, and those with unsteady or arthritic hands that have difficulty applying makeup.

I’m interested- what happens when I make a booking?

You will receive a consultation (which is required) to determine the color, shape and size of the permanent makeup you desire. It’s not a one size fits all. Factors such as your makeup style, skin tone, hair colour, and desired outcome will be considered to determine the design of the permanent makeup that will be most flattering and natural looking Microblading. Each set of Microbladed brows are tailored to each client. After your brows are mapped out and we decide on a color, we do not move forward until you give your consent on the shape, size and color of your brows.

How “permanent” or “how long does Microblading last”, anyway?

Permanent makeup is long lasting and can remain in the skin for 1 to 5 years depending on the colour, placement, and your skin type. The most effective and safe removal option is laser tattoo removal, offered by specialist. If you have existing permanent makeup and need corrective work, you will be advised of your best options.

Does Microblading fade or require any maintenance?

Over time, your permanent makeup will fade due to many factors such as: natural skin exfoliation, sun exposure, medications and the use of creams/chemicals. For most people a 4-6 wk touchup will be required.
To maintain the colour and shape it is advisable to touch up the treated area every 1 to 2 years. A good indication of needing maintenance is when you start having to add to your permanent makeup with pencil or other cosmetics.

Is Microblading painful?

You may experience a minor and tolerable degree of scratching/pricking during the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to reduce discomfort and promote relaxation. The treated area may be slightly tender immediately following the procedure (think sunburn). Tenderness will diminish within a few days post-treatment. But most clients report not having any pain at all and many actually fall asleep.

Am I a good candidate for Microblading?

Unfortunately, not all clients are good candidates for permanent makeup due to the existence of certain contraindicated skin conditions or pre-existing medical conditions. If you have a contraindicated skin condition you may not retain colour well and thus may not be entirely satisfied with your outcome.

What payments do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card, Afterpay and debit card payments during your appointment. We do not accept cheques or e-transfers. To pay a deposit you must use a debit card or credit card to pay online or over the phone.
